Abstract

We have proposed and discussed a dual-spiral slot as a circularly polarized radiation element with a simple feeding system [1]. The dual-spiral slot located in the x-y plane, as shown in Fig. 1(a), has different radiation patterns in the x-z and y-z planes, due to its dual-element configuration. When the same radiation pattern is required in the x-z and y-z planes, the dual configuration is changed to a single element configuration, as shown in Fig. 1(b).
