Abstract

Some game systems for the visually impaired have been developed. However, users must have or wear devices to use these systems. We think that if they do not need to have or wear devices, they will enjoy the system more and be more comfortable. We developed a game system for the visually impaired utilizing a Kinect sensor and improved the system on the basis of the results of a preliminary experiment with sighted users. We then did an experiment with both sighted and visually impaired users.
