Abstract

A novel comb-line antenna with loop radiation elements was proposed and its radiation characteristics were investigated using the method of moments. To obtain circularly polarized (CP) radiation, the comb length Lc was appropriately chosen. It was found that the antenna with 16 loop elements radiates a CP wave with an axial ratio of less than 3 dB in a frequency bandwidth of 2.5%.
