Abstract

This paper proposes a multirate processing scheme for the conversion of image resolution by using filter banks. The conversion scheme by using the filter banks is on the basis of their frequency characteristics. A resolution-converted signal is synthesized from decomposed ones by the filter banks in the proposed scheme. Simulation results are also given, in which we compare the performance of the proposed synthesis scheme with the direct resolution conversion method.
