Abstract
This paper proposes a new motor with stator magnet using the magnetization reversal technique. The proposed motor has a magnet which has a small coercive force in the stator tooth. In this motor, a pulse current is added to stator magnet to change its magnetized direction. Then the stator magnet becomes a magnetic pole, and the motor is driven by generating an alternating magnetic field by the stator. Since the effective current value to generate the torque is smaller than the conventional stator winding motor, it is possible to drastically reduce the copper loss. This paper verified its principle by using Finite Element Analysis.
