A novel ladder antenna for dual circular polarization

Abstract

A ladder antenna, shown in Fig. 1(a), has been investigated for use as a dual polarization element [1]. The antenna radiates a circularly polarized (CP) wave of either rotational sense by changing the feed points of FR and FL. Note that the CP radiation is obtained by virtue of a stub of length Δℓ as shown in Fig. 1(b).
