Ac susceptibility measurements for Nd-Ba-Cu-O superconductor

Nd-Ba-Cu-O samples grown by the OCMG method exhibit large Jc values and they also exhibit a secondary peak effect. It is interesting to study how the secondary peak effect effects the results of ac susceptibility measurements. Therefore, we measured the complex ac susceptibility of an OCMG processed Nd-Ba-Cu-O sample in the presence of a static dc field with the ac field amplitude of 20 Oe and the ac frequency of 125 Hz. To compare with the obtained as susceptibility we tried numerical simulation based on a simple Bean model.
