Abstract

Switched reluctance motor is low cost construction and the capable of mass production is attracting attention. However, the motor has a problem that iron loss estimation is difficult. Accurate iron loss evaluation is important to reduce iron loss and to improve efficiency. In this paper, iron loss is evaluated and compared between analysis and experimental result. In addition, the analysis method suitable for SRM is considered. The iron loss analysis results by using a play model are compared with the experimental results and the results also compared with different analysis method.
