Detection of secret information in the processing of multimedia information

Abstract

This chapter describes an overview of steganography and the need for JPEG compression resistance. Moreover, we analyze the JPEG compression resistance of steganography using the correlation properties of the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) domain that we have proposed. Surprisingly, we found that our proposed steganography has the potential to minimize the file size of stego images while maintaining the secret information recovery performance by setting the quality factor slightly above a certain region for all embedding strengths.
