Abstract

There is a shortage of skill workers and engineers in building construction. It is most effective when new trainees receive practical training using full-size construction models. Texts using conventional 2-dimensional construction drawings are difficult for new trainees to understand. Therefore, we have developed a group of new educational materials that are friendly for new trainees to understand using information and communication technologies. These can be accessed on smartphones. These materials were validated and it was shown that they enabled trainees to reduce the time required to assemble a model of steel-reinforced concrete by 35%.
