Abstract
The present paper reports the current progress of advanced solar dynamic receiver the authors have conducted at Electrotechnical Laboratory. The first part of the paper describes component test of receiver tube with LiF in metallic containers, which was performed in a closed high temperature He-Xe loop. The second part gives the details of the development of composite phase change materials, such as ceramics/molten salts or carbon/molten salts for advanced receiver concepts. As for SiC/LiF composite, the performance test of receiver component will soon be ready for the initiation.
