Abstract

Development of different type of robot has been widely conducted in last few decades. Different type of terrestrial robots such as wheel robot, humandroid robot, snake robot and so on can be found in the literature. On the other hand, studies on aerial robot have been getting popular within last several years. In this paper, we targets to combine a terrestrial robot and aerial robot to develop hybrid aerial/terrestrial robot (HATR). In addition, we discuss how to develop onboard system to achieve automation of HATR by utilizing light weigh hardware.
