Abstract
In the present paper, we study the first eigenvalue (Formula presented.) of the one-dimensional p-Laplacian in the interval (Formula presented.). We give upper and lower estimates of (Formula presented.) and study its asymptotic behavior as (Formula presented.) or (Formula presented.).
