Abstract
The antenna factor (AF) of a typical wire-structure biconical antenna, commonly used in EMC measurement was calculated using Moment Methods. In the antenna factor evaluation, the effects of the distance separating the transmitting and receiving antennas the height of transmitting antenna and of a ground plane on AF were also investigated. Agreement between the measured AF and calculated AF validated the usefulness of the computational method. Antenna arrangements contributing to the erroneous EMC measurements are described.
