Abstract
Vortex state of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 single crystal was investigated by free damping oscillation under various magnetic fields (H∥c) up to 3 kOe in the temperature range from 4.2 K to Tc. The energy dissipation under magnetic field started to increase just below about the irreversibility line, showed a peak near 20 K followed by other peaks with decreasing temperature. As the applied field increases from 1 to 2 kOe, the amplitude of the dissipation increased abruptly. This increase might suggest that the 3D-2D crossover of vortex pancakes exists between these fields.
