Abstract

This paper presents an improved switching methods of the Surface Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor drive with an AC-DC converter in the DC link and a combined control technique with Pulse Amplitude Modulation and Pulse Width Modulation. A modified six-step control and high frequency current injection synchronously with the rotation speed can cancel out the harmonic current.
