N2 - The improvement in the elevation pattern for the electronically steerable passive array radiator (ESPAR) antenna using the monopole elements with a circular ground plane was reported. The radiation characteristics of the monopole antenna on a circular plane with and without a skirt was reported. A maximum gain in the horizontal direction was obtained for the 7-element ESPAR antenna with a skirt.
