N2 - Statistics of lightning damage in railway systems show that pole transformers are among the targets for lightning. To ensure railway system reliability, it is necessary to consider problems of induced lightning and backflow lightning. Quantitative evaluation is possible by using the FDTD method against excess voltage under various conditions, including, among other parameters, lightning current, lightning position, and wiring connections. This paper shows the relationship of voltage produced at the pole transformer to lightning position and lightning current. The verification was performed for an elevated environment, ground environment, the pole transformer connected to an arrester grounding wire, and other cases.
