Abstract

A reflecting liqud sensor based on shear mode-surface acoustic wave (SH-SAW) was analyzed. A tentative system configuration suitable for the reflecting SH-SAW sensor was also proposed. It was observed that the amplitude of the reflected wave at the interface between liquid and the edge is proportional to the square root of the product of viscosity and density of the liquid.
