Abstract

We have investigated the ternary compounds Nd0. 33Eu0.33Gd0.33Ba2Cu307 and Nd0.33Sm0.33Gd0.33Ba2Cu3O7, superconductors melt-processed in a reduced oxygen atmosphere with magneto-optical techniques. Zero field-cooled (ZFC) measurements were done to understand the flux penetration behaviour of this compound. It was found that the critical state is well established in these samples.
