Abstract

In order to investigate Ni-impurity effects on the Cu-spin dynamics in a wide range of hole concentration, we have performed zero-field muon-spin-relaxation measurements in La2 - x Srx Cu1 - y Niy O4 (LSCNO) with x = 0.08 - 0.30 and y = 0 - 0.10. It has been found that the hole-trapping effect of Ni clearly appears in heavily Ni-substituted LSCNO with y ≥ 0.05, while the stripe-pinning effect of Ni is marked in lightly Ni-substituted LSCNO around x = frac(1, 8).
