Abstract

Submicrometer patterning of TiO2-rutile single crystal surface by Pt was accomplished by means of photocatalytic reduction of PtCl24 to Pt in an aqueous solution of H2PtCl6. The patterns of Pt were fabricated along focal point traces of 380 nm wavelength excitation laser beam on the surface of rutile substrates.
