Reliable scattering coefficient estimation against absorption inhomogeneity by time-resolved measurement of backscattered light

Abstract

The effect of absorption inhomogeneity on μ s estimation of a scattering medium with a newly proposed technique was investigated. The estimation error was significantly reduced from that with a conventional technique.
