Abstract

Spray-applied asbestos are prohibited on buildings use, because of risks on asbestos fiber release. Meanwhile, knowledge about asbestos fiber release from other asbestos containing materials is insufficient at present, despite of those may cause asbestos fiber release by deterioration. In this research, airborne fibrous particles concentration was measured at indoor which use asbestos containing materials, and degree of deterioration of those materials was verified. As a result, asbestos fibers were not detected indoors, and no deterioration on all indoor asbestos containing materials but some thermal insulating materials on pipes was verified.
