Surface wave velocity determination by using reflection coefficient method on the liquid-anisotropic-solid interface

Abstract

Reflection coefficient of a plane wave impinging from liquid onto a liquid-anisotropic-solid interface is useful to theoretically predict the Rayleigh surface wave (RSW) velocity and the pseudo surface wave (PSW) velocity dispersions. In the present letter, several incomplete results proposed by previous investigation are restudied to attempt giving more appropriate physical understanding in theory. It is found that PSW velocity determined by the reflection coefficient analysis is just a nonleaky effect surface wave on the liquid-anisotropic-solid interface but not the leaky one.
