Abstract

Omurosengen Shrine is located in Fujiyoshida city in Yamanashi prefecture. It was built by the Kayanuma family, who were known as shrine and temple carpenters around the Fujiyoshida area in pre-modern period. The aim of this report is to ascertain when the main shrine was built and to show how this was built by deciphering the historical materials on Omurosengen Shrine owned by the Kayanuma.
