N2 - Three-dimensional modeling for plastic forming and solidification analyses is indispensable not only for forging and casting design/redesign but also for coupled problem with flow and deformation analyses. The direct tessellation method has been proposed and developed to provide tetrahedral element modeling automatically for the prescribed geometric model. Our developing algorithm is described with comments on its essential features. Through some numerical examples in generating three-dimensional modelings, several issues of automatic model generation and control are discussed on the basis of quantitative evaluation of these above features.
