Abstract

The wide band antennas are required to support an increasing number of users in mobile cellular phone and to achieve higher data rates for wireless LAN. This paper introduces the novel wide band planar monopole antenna with asymmetric parasitic elements and describes the simulated and the measured results. The VSWR less than 2 was obtained from 1.8 GHz to 5.9 GHz. The simulated and measured VSWR were agreed very well.
