Abstract

The traction motor for Electric Vehicle requires space saving, fault tolerant characteristic and high efficiency driving. This research proposes a dual winding multi-phase motor by integrating with SiC-inverter. This paper reveals the proposed permanent magnet synchronous motor achieves the variable characteristics by simulation results and experimental results. The variable characteristics are revealed in the proposed motor by the finite element analysis results and also verified by the experimental results.
