Abstract
The growth of Dunaliella salina and production of β-carotene in fed-batch culture using boron-glass powder (SBF-11) containing 1.7(%) Fe2O3, 6.1(%) FeO, and 52.5(%) B2O3 were investigated. When the powder was used in semi-continuous culture, maximum growth (stationary phase) was obtained for 60 d.
