The sensitivity of steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) to the frequency of blinking visual stimuli has a large difference between subjects. In this study, SSVEP responses to the blinking red-LED light stimulus were measured and the relationship between SSVEP magnitude and the frequency of blinking light stimulus was investigated. The power spectrum of SSVEP responses which was calculated by Fourier transform was compared and tested to show the variability of SSVEP responses among subjects. These results will be useful to design SSVEP-based BCI (brain-computer interface) for individual users.
