abstract = "Enhancement of human resources who have STEAM knowledge and skills is crucially important to realize a smart society. This paper proposes a short-term course of STEAM education for high school students. This course uses IoT as its material, which enables the students to have their own ideas on IoT systems to solve some real problems. In addition, gives the students many chances to apply their knowledge learned in not only this course but also the normal curriculum to realizing the ideas. This course is designed to have five three-hour sessions so that it can be easily incorporated without affecting the current high school curriculum. A trial conduct of this course proves that this course is useful as a STEAM education for high school students to get problem-solving skills using IoT technologies.",
