N2 - In this paper, the existing digital redesign method, Generalized Bilinear Transformation (GBT), is extended so that large overshoot is suppressed while comparatively large sampling period is obtained in the digital control system. The extension is established by introducing piecewise or multiple discretization parameters in GBT. Several simulation examples are given to show effectiveness of the proposed method.
