N2 - This paper proposes a new switching method to increase the efficiency in Dual Active Bridge converter (DAB). Two level PWM is general method but the efficiency is lower than three level PWM. In this paper, three level inverter is applied in DAB and the efficiency is compared two level PWM. The power loss of MOSFET checked and the power loss with three level PWM is expected to lower loss. The dead-Time is controlled for generating three level voltage. Through a simulation and an experiment, the proposed switching method is compared the conventional switching method.
