N2 - In this paper, a control system design that considers packet losses and time delay in a network-based control system is proposed. A conventional communication observer is exploited to compensate for time delay; however, it does not consider packet losses. Furthermore, when a modeling error exists, steady-state errors occur. Therefore, in order to compensate for the packet loss and the modeling error, a model error feedback system that does not include time delay is proposed. The proposed system was evaluated by numerical simulations with model error and packet loss.
