Magnetically graded materials based on stainless steel have been developed by martensite transformation technique. It is important to investigate the corrosion resistance of magnetically graded materials made by the martensitic transformation technique from austenitic stainless steel. Corrosion resistant evaluation of stainless steels was performed using an electrochemical sensor in which the potential was chosen as the equilibrium potential. Ag/AgCl electrode was used for the electro chemical sensor. The developed sensor based on the Ag/AgCl electrode detected the concentration of chloride ions which were one of the environmental factors related to corrosion phenomena in the corrosion environment for magnetically graded materials.
