This paper describes data transmission system using magnetic resonance wireless power transfer (MR-WPT). A MR-WPT is a method of transferring electrical energy through space by driving the system at resonant frequency of the resonator. In this method, when the driving frequency deviates from the resonant frequency, the transmission efficiency is dramatically decreased. This problem can be solved by using Automatic Tuning Assist Circuit (ATAC) [1]. ATAC enables power transmission even at a driving frequency which is different from the resonant frequency of the resonator. In this research, we demonstrate FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) communication of MR-WPT with ATAC system by two different driving frequencies as data of '0' and '1'. Experiments have revealed it is possible to achieve a communication speed of about 10 kbps. With this system, it becomes possible to send information at the same time as power and can be considered to be useful for the control system on the power receiving side.
