N2 - To understand how task air conditioning is operated in actual offices during the summer, we investigated the characteristics of worker behaviour and collected worker responses to a survey regarding the thermal environment. The results show that the air velocities in the occupied zones in the office mostly exceeded the development target of 0.8 m/s. Experimental results demonstrate that task air conditioning, which gives individuals the ability to adjust their environments, is an effective method in workspaces that contain diverse work styles and staff.
