N2 - Physical properties and salt resistance ofconcrete prepared with a chloride-ionimmobilization material (2CaO Al2O3) and expansive additivewere examined. Immersion and unsteady-state electrophoresis testsconfirmed that chloride-ion penetration of the concrete was suppressed using the chloride-ionimmobilizationmaterial. The same behavior was confirmed in combination with theexpansive additive. When thechloride-ionimmobilization material and expansive additivewere used in combination, there was no effect on salt resistance if the expansion strain was within the correctrange. In contrast, in concrete using the chloride-ionimmobilizationmaterialalone, the chloride-ion penetration behavior differed forsalt-water immersion and unsteady-state electrophoresis tests.
