抄録

This paper evaluates a message acquisition strategy for deaf people suitable for emergencies. The strategy is to display both Japanese sign language (JSL) and Japanese text (JT) while the evaluation assumes that gaze analysis is indicative of information transmission. An experiment showed that there were three strategies; JSL dominant, JT dominant, and neutral. The results also confirm that in presenting emergency information to deaf people, showing a comprehensive text helps information comprehension regardless of the initial acquisition strategy.
