N2 - Efforts are being made to improve the pinning and grain coupling in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ ceramics. For this purpose, the penetration of vortices is visualized by means of magneto-optical garnet indicators at temperatures up to 77 K. It is shown that there is a difference between the real grain size and the size of the magnetic domains. The samples are found to show a strong coupling between the grains, which is manifested by the observation of a flux front propagating into the sample on increasing field.
