抄録

The authors propose an LSI implementation of a TDMA (time-division multiple-access) equipment to reduce earth station cost, especially for broadband digital satellite communication systems. By extracting and grouping various TDMA functions optimally, six general-purpose TDMA LSIs have been designed and developed which are usable for TDMA equipment with different frame formats and clock rates. The experimental results for the six LSIs show complete satisfaction of the specification for each circuit and also general usability of LSIs up to a system clock of 100 MHz.
