In this work, the granular modeling, as the direct simulation method to trace all movements of powder particles, is proposed to understand the microscopic behavior of powders inside the material during deformation. The current model is extended to mesoscopic scale by the smoothed particle method to be applicable to the practical problem. Both the micro-and mesoscopic models can be treated identically, since both models are based on the same microscopic relationship. Several numerical examples in the three dimensional analysis are demonstrated. The powder agglomeration and segregation phenomena can be seen in these examples, which often cause the irregular powder distribution resulting in the major failure of the final products like crack, bending and so on.
