N2 - We investigated blend gels of polyrotaxane (PR) - polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). When we prepare PR-PVA blend gels under certain conditions, the gels became turbid. To reveal this phenomenon, we prepared PR-PVA mixture solution. When having observed it, the solution separated two phases. Phenomena like this are known as 'aqueous two-phase separation'. We suspected that the reason why gels become turbid is phase separation under mixture solution. So we made phase diagram for PR-PVA mixture solutions, and made gels under various concentration. As a result, comparing the phase diagram with the gel-appearances, there are strong correlations between turbid gels and aqueous two-phase.
