N2 - Bicycle bells are often used for avoiding danger and can serve as a warning. It seems that psychological displeasure is pronounced when the pedestrian suddenly hears a loud high frequency alarm from the back. In this study, we investigate the conditions of sounds causing little psychological displeasure as a signature needed for interactions informing pedestrians of a bicycle's approach. For this purpose, we analyzed the sounds of existing bicycle horns and investigated factors that concluded to be unpleasant in previous studies and experiments.
