抄録

Si2N2O ceramics have been synthesized from a mixture of desert sand and reclaimed silicon by using the nitriding combustion-synthesis method which is known as an energy saving process. A model for the synthesis reaction based on both thermodynamic considerations and measured thermograms is discussed. The properties of fabricated porous and dense compacts are also presented.
