N2 - This paper introduces the novel wide band planar monopole antenna with parasitic elements covered magnetic material to reduce the antenna size for wireless communication. The VSWR less than 2 was obtained from 1.84-13.67 GHz and the band width was 152 % in the simulation results. The miniaturization of the magnetically-loaded planar monopole antenna has been investigated and the antenna area was reduced about 65 %. So, the proposed antenna was useful for mobile and wireless equipments. The effects of the magnetic material and this amount depend on the arranging position. The VSWR and radiation patterns must be confirmed in the experiment.
